Gudrun Heinze's passion for visual effects and filmmaking spills over into her personal life. By day, she's SwitchVFX's Senior Compositor, having recently worked on SAW III, Slither and George Romero's, Land of the Dead. Each effects shot that comes Gudrun's way is approached with an enthusiastic and fresh perspective. When she's not working Gudrun is either playing ball hockey with the Mullets or she's writing, directing and editing her own short comedies. She's planning to learn how to write music so she can do a musical next.

Gudrun has had several Gemini and VES Nominations for best visual effects. She also has the dubious honour of winning Best Female Director in 2004 & 2006 at Darryl's Hard Liquor and Porn Film Festival (a comedy festival that SPOOFS porn).

Gudrun had her start in the visual effects industry terminating people on the series "Friday the 13th". She enjoyed a long stint with GVFX learning all aspects of the craft: model making, on set supervising and compositing. When she moved on, Gudrun gained even more skills and†film and television credits with Spin Productions, Toybox, Calibre, and Hybride. Twenty years later (but looking younger then that)

Gudrun continues to thrive at SwitchVFX.
