Born in a small English fishing village and raised by crayfish mongers David immigrated to Canada well before the moon landing ,becoming one of the youngest members of the Boeing Junior Jet Club (he has the button to prove it). Twenty years of failed Math and Science classes helped guide David towards a career in the Arts and in 1987 he graduated from the Ontario College of Art with a piece of paper. Being blacklisted from the Erindale High School Battle of the Bands at an impressionable age did not deter a professional music career with Indie underdog heroes the Lowest of the Low which culminated in a 2001 Edge102/Now magazine Casby Award for Outstanding Achievement.
Always combining Art and Music David pursued a real job career in Digital Effects after studying Computer Animation at Sheridan College in 1995. After a dozen years in the Post-Production field David claims 3 Emmy Award nominations, 2 Gemini Award Nominations, 2 International Monitor Awards and 1 Gemini Award , all for Best or Outstanding Special Effects. He is also the only 3D artist in the human race (currently at 6,525,170,300 souls) to work on Saw 3.
David drinks Ale and not Lager. |
